Steve's Blog

I try to use this blog to record something about my life everyday.

My Photo
Name: Steve Brown
Location: Little Rock, Arkansas, United States

On December 31, 2007 I left my job with Sprint/Embarq where I worked as a Software Engineer for 15 years at the Sprint Campus in Kansas City. In January 2008 Mary and I started Steve Brown Ministries and started traveling the United States broadcasting "Live Video" of Revivals, Bible Conferences, Mission Conferences, and other Special Services. Mary and I enjoy serving the Lord Jesus Christ and traveling to churches as we minister through SteveBrownMinistries.com. We are very pleased that our ministry is endorsed and we are sent out of our home church at Heritage Baptist Temple in Little Rock, Arkansas.

First Day to Work Remotely in Arkansas

Today I did my best to work from our home in Arkansas over a dial-up internet connection. Dial-up is so slow that it was hard to keep up with the needs of the business.

I researched every company that might provide broadband internet access and they all told me that they did not provide service in our area. We're just too far from town.

GPS Problems

This afternoon we were trying to go to Benton High School in Benton, Arkansas. I did a search for Benton High School and said "GoTo" on the GPS. After much difficulty I found out that we were trying to go to Benton High School in St. Joe, Missouri.

When we finally got to Benton High School we enjoyed a great Tumbling Recital including our granddaughter Ashley.

When we got home we had a great cook out with the family. Brats, hamburgers, and hot dogs.

This is great. Welcome to Sprint.

Your title is "Tech Supt Engineer II". What does the "Supt" stand for? (Maybe it's Technical Support Engineer II). I'd say that you are an engineer for Sprint now.

I just never dreamed that a son of mine would be working for Sprint. Congratulations. I'm proud of you.

Love you,
Dad
