Setup At Temple Baptist Church

We arrived about 9:30 a.m. this morning and worked all day long unloading and setting up our video equipment. As we were finishing up about 7:00 p.m. the power went out. We later learned that a transformer had blown out down the street. We were very close to being ready for Sunday morning so it did not interfere with out setup very much.

A Long Day Of Driving To Gulfport, Mississippi

We were loaded and ready when we got up this morning so we took off for Gulfport, Mississippi. It was a long day. We got to our motel about 7:00 p.m. and then went to eat at a fabulous Sea Food Buffet. I am sure we over indulged.

A Huge Day For Us

I finally got the old John Deere running and we ordered a new belt for the mower because the old one was broken. The new belt is way too big. Now I have to order another one. So I ended up bush hogging the yard again.

We spent the rest of the day preparing and packing for our long trip to Gulfport, Mississippi in the morning. Of course the van is full to overflowing. And I do mean full from the floor to the ceiling. All the seats are out and it is completely full.

We are looking forward to being with Temple Baptist Church the first week and Faith Baptist Church the second week. We plan to broadcast the services live on SteveBrownMinistries.com for the next two weeks.

The yard will need to be bush hogged again by the time we get back.

We Did It - All The Speakers Are Hanging

We finally did it. Scott and I have been waiting for months to hang the speakers in our new church building. We finally finished this afternoon about 2:00 p.m. Now I only have a few hours left before I have to be loaded and ready to leave for Gulfport, Mississippi Friday morning. And somewhere in there I need to mow the yard before I leave and the John Deere is in pieces. Dear Lord please help me to get it all done.

Hanging Speakers At Crystal Hill

We finally got to hang some speakers at church today. Scott and I worked from 8:30 until about 2:00 p.m. just hanging the first column. We had lots of trouble finding the right tools. We worked until about 7:00 p.m. and all we did was three of the four speakers. At least we got those huge heavy bass speakers hung. It was all I could do just lift one end of them onto the lift. We only lack one column of high/midrange speakers. And thank the Lord I did not crash the ceiling with the sissor lift today.

A Day of Editing Videos

I must have spent 12-14 hours today editing, burning and labeling DVD's for the baby dedication and I'm still not done.

The Gangs All Here and I Do Mean All

This was the first time to have all our kids at our house and all the grandkids including Sophie and Mady. We had a house full. The food was wonderful again. Thank you Mary. We really enjoyed everybodies company this afternoon.

Tonight was baby dedication at church. I shot video of all the babies and now I have to make an individual DVD of each baby.

A Great Time With The Twins

Mary invited a lot of family and friends to a potluck at the Crystal Hill Family Life Center this evening to meet our two newest grand babies, Sophie and Mady. I ate way too much and had a great time with Sophie and Mady. I got to hold them for the first time this evening.

A Real Treat For Us - We Went Out To Eat

Mary was tired tonight from getting ready for Robby, Rachel, Sophie, and Mady to come tomorrow so we went to town to eat. We could not do it without ending up at Wal-Mart. We had a very nice evening shopping and eating out.

Failed To Hang Our New Speakers

Scott, Lacey, and Lee met me at the church this evening and we planned to hang the new speakers for the new sound system in the new church building. We had the speakers on the lift and ready to go up when we discovered that the eye-bolts would not fit the speakers. We'll have to try again later if we can find the right eye-bolts.

I Crashed The Lift Into The Ceiling

I was doing really good driving the sissor lift around the new church building and working in the ceiling until I raised it up into the new ceiling and crashed. I made a mess of a new section of ceiling. They would not let me fix it. They said the ceiling folks would be back next week and they would fix it. I am really upset over crashing the lift and tearing up the new ceiling. They will never trust me again.

A Long Hot Day In The Attic

I worked all day in our new church building. It was getting close to 9:00 p.m. when I got home from a hard day of installing microphones and cables.

A Few Choir Microphones

I started installing the choir mics this evening in our new church building. Boy is it hot up in the attic.

Wow! What A Nice Sunday Dinner

Lee, Angela, Preston, Drew, Scott, Lacey, Bradley, Ashley, Bella, and J.T. came over after church for lunch. I have to say this was no lunch. It was a fantastic dinner. Thank you Mary for all you did to make it a great day with the family.

Scott, Lacey and All Their Gang

Scott, Lacey, Bradley, Ashley, Bella, and J.T. all came out this evening. They rode their four-wheelers for a couple hours and Mary fixed us a fantastic supper.

Little League Baseball

This evening we went to watch two of our grandsons play baseball. Neither Preston or Drews teams won but they sure had a lot of fun trying to win. It was a great evening to be at the ball park. I got a little cool before we left the park but that was better than burning up. My coffee tasted extra good toward the end of the game.

New Web Site

I spent a big part of my day working on SteveBrownMinistries.com today. It seems like such a simple website but I sure do spend a lot of time working on it.

Encoding Messages from Bogalusa

I started encoding the preaching from the Tent Revival at Freedom Baptist Church in Bogalusa, Louisiana that we recorded last week. I am encoding the messages at a low bit rate to save space on my new SteveBrownMinistries.com web site. I hope to encode future messages in real time while I am broadcasting the Live Event. I hate to say it but the audio is just not up to par in these recordings. I must do better in the future.

New Web Site - Steve Brown Ministries

I have been needing to do this for several months now. Today I finally got still long enough to do some coding. This is the first coding that I have done since I left Embarq back in December. I started SteveBrownMinistries.com today. I'm sure I will be working on this for several days to come.

Signed Up Two New Meetings

As a result of the tent revival last week we have now signed up two more meetings. One over in Seminary, Mississippi in September and the other one in Gulfport, Mississippi for the first week in June.

I had to bush hog the yard again today.

Back To Crystal Hill

This morning we were back in our home church at Crystal Hill Baptist. It was good to be home but I miss our new friends that we made in Bogalusa.

Home To Little Rock

Last night was the last night of the tent revival. I spent the entire morning packing and loading our equipment. A few minutes after noon we left Bogalusa. I guess it was about 8:30 p.m. when we got home.

We really enjoyed our week with the Freedom Baptist Church in Bogalusa, LA.

Down With A Cold

Last night I started sneezing and had a terrible runny nose. I decided to not go out soulwinning today and try to recuperate. I layed around the cabin on the Pearl River all day. By church time tonight was much better.

Five People Received Christ As Saviour

I went out soulwinning again today with the men from the church. This is the third day in a row that I have gone out with them. Today the Lord allowed me to lead 5 people to trust Christ as their Saviour on the streets of Bogalusa. I just know the angels in heaven were rejoicing today.

CrawFish

Tonight after church the pastor took us out to eat at the local China Buffet. The preacher tonight was Bro. Osteen. He loved crawfish. I watched him go through plate after plate of crawfish. He could peel crawfish faster than anyone I had ever seen. I never did try it but I am anxious to try it when a professional crawfish eater is not around to make fun of me.

Soulwinning

Today I went soulwinning with some of the men from Freedom Baptist Church and the preachers. Bobby Smith and I walked the streets of Bogalusa together. The Lord allowed me to lead a young man to the Lord this morning. I was thrilled that the Lord could use me to help keep someone out of hell.

Setup For The Tent Revival

This morning the men showed up to setup the Tent for the Tent Revival. I video taped the whole errection of the tent. Now I need to edit it down to about 3-4 minutes.

After the tent was errected I spent the rest of the day setting up my video equipment in the tent.

Bro. Dan Carr from Gulfport, Mississippi preached tonight in the tent. It was a wonderful first night of the tent revival.

Messed Up The Live Video Stream

I had everything working great and the video was streaming fine. A few minutes before the service started I discovered that the church name was wrong in the attributes. It did not affect the quality of video but I wanted it right so I stopped the video stream to correct it. I never got the stream working again. I came back after lunch to work on it and everything worked perfect. I do not know what the problem was.

Setup At Freedom Baptist Church

I spent most of the day setting up our video equipment at the Freedom Baptist Church in Bogalusa, LA. Several of the church men showed up to help me unload and setup. I helped them put a TV in the nursery so the ladies could view and listen to the service. They were elated at how easy it was to hook up the TV.

Little Cabin On The Pearl River

Well, here we are back in the cabin on the Pearl River in Bogalusa, Louisiana. This place is a mansion. This is better than a vacation. The church is letting us stay here for our second trip to Bogalusa. We plan to be here for 8 days. It is like a monsoon here tonight. The river is way up and the rain is pouring like crazy. It is lighting and thundering. It's neat to stand out on the porch that goes all the way around the house up on 8 foot piers and watch the lighting light up the river. I hope the river does not wash away our van tonight. The Lord has really been good to Mary and I.

Packing for Bogalusa

I spent most of the day packing our KIA van with all our video equipment. We have taken all the seats out and it is full from wall to wall and ceiling to floor. We are loaded to the gills.
