Kansas Delorme Challenge – Day 3

Here’s how the map looked this morning when we started our day. We left the J-Hawk motel in Greensburg about 6:45 this morning. Greensburg is the home of the world’s largest hand dug well. Our second fill-up $2.299 per gal Total 11.787 gal $27.10 for 25.3 MPG

Looks like we drove 329 miles yesterday.

I think our biggest treat today was the buffalo on our way to Jacob’s Well. We felt like we were truly out where the buffalo roam. What a thrill to drive through a herd of them.

It was also a real treat to visit the three corners of Kansas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. We both stood in three states at the same time.

We also really enjoyed seeing so many pheasants. I’ve never seen so many pheasants in my life. They are such a beautiful bird. My only regret is that I could not get a picture of at least one.

3rd fill-up $2.449 per gal Total 13.7 $33.68 for 24.0 MPG The motor ran steady all day long since we left the motel this morning.

Today's Stats:
22 Geocaches.
7154 Steps Today - 3.27 miles.
0 Aerobic Steps.
334 Calories Burned.
