Steve's Blog

I try to use this blog to record something about my life everyday.

Name: Steve Brown
Location: Little Rock, Arkansas, United States

On December 31, 2007 I left my job with Sprint/Embarq where I worked as a Software Engineer for 15 years at the Sprint Campus in Kansas City. In January 2008 Mary and I started Steve Brown Ministries and started traveling the United States broadcasting "Live Video" of Revivals, Bible Conferences, Mission Conferences, and other Special Services. Mary and I enjoy serving the Lord Jesus Christ and traveling to churches as we minister through SteveBrownMinistries.com. We are very pleased that our ministry is endorsed and we are sent out of our home church at Heritage Baptist Temple in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Theophilos Audio Bible Problems with Vista

I have tried off and on for several months to get my Theophilos Audio Bible to work on my new Vista Thinkpad. It would not utter a peek even after following my own step by step instructions on my June 11, 2007 blog post. Finally today I found the answer on the Theophilos Audio Bible FAQ.

So now I have added a new step to install the Theophilos Audio Bible on Theophilos version 3.16. Here are the steps:

1. Install the latest free version of Theophilos from Theophilos.com into the default folder. In my case that is "C:\Program Files\theo30".

2. Install the TrueSpeech files described in the Theophilos Audio Bible FAQ.

3. Copy the Scourby folder from the Theophilos Audio Bible CD into the "C:\Program Files\theo30" folder. You should then have a "C:\Program Files\theo30\scourby" folder.

4. Copy these two files from the Theophilos Audio Bible CD into the "C:\Program Files\theo30" folder.

5. Start Theophilos and set "Data files path" in
Program-->Settings-->Paths to
"C:\Program Files\theo30".

6. Close Theophilos and Start it again. You can now do "Verse Sound" or "Auto Play" in Theophilos 3.1.6.
