I try to use this blog to record something about my life everyday.

Name: Steve Brown
Location: Little Rock, Arkansas, United States

On December 31, 2007 I left my job with Sprint/Embarq where I worked as a Software Engineer for 15 years at the Sprint Campus in Kansas City. In January 2008 Mary and I started Steve Brown Ministries and started traveling the United States broadcasting "Live Video" of Revivals, Bible Conferences, Mission Conferences, and other Special Services. Mary and I enjoy serving the Lord Jesus Christ and traveling to churches as we minister through SteveBrownMinistries.com. We are very pleased that our ministry is endorsed and we are sent out of our home church at Heritage Baptist Temple in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Flint Hills of Kansas

Today we got up in El Dorado, Kansas and headed west out of Cassoday, Kansas to the Flint Hills after a nest of new caches. The caches were scattered all over the Flint Hills. The sights were beautiful. It was very scenic. We found lots of old oil fields and ghost towns. We had a very enjoyable day touring the Flint Hills. This evening we met Brian and Carlin at the Cooper Kettle in Eureka, Kansas for diner. We spent the night at the Blue Stem Motel in Eureka.
A typical road that we drove on while traveling through the Flint Hills.
Most of the land was open range and we saw thousands of cattle. The land seems to be perfect for grazing cattle.
We were told that there are thousands of head of wild horses running in the Flint Hills.
This is a memorial to a cowboy who froze to death while tending the cattle and his boss put up this memorial to him at the spot where he froze to death.
A typical oil well. I think this is the closest I've been to a well that is pumping oil. The sounds produced from the pump are interesting.
Kansas is not all flat. We have been surprised at the number of beautiful water falls we have found in Kansas.
We had to drive about a mile down this road and then I walked about a half mile to the cache.
We spotted the buzzard on top of an old school house. He was just about to fly when I snapped the picture.
I was shocked when I ran into Ajayhawkfan at this old school house way out in the Flint Hills of Kansas.
We went across several bridge like this during our weekend in the Flint Hills. Mary is always worried when she has to drive across a bridge like this.
One of the caches we went after was Zonkey. We were surprised when we found these Zonkey's near the cache site.

Today's Stats:
