Steve's Blog

I try to use this blog to record something about my life everyday.

Name: Steve Brown
Location: Little Rock, Arkansas, United States

On December 31, 2007 I left my job with Sprint/Embarq where I worked as a Software Engineer for 15 years at the Sprint Campus in Kansas City. In January 2008 Mary and I started Steve Brown Ministries and started traveling the United States broadcasting "Live Video" of Revivals, Bible Conferences, Mission Conferences, and other Special Services. Mary and I enjoy serving the Lord Jesus Christ and traveling to churches as we minister through SteveBrownMinistries.com. We are very pleased that our ministry is endorsed and we are sent out of our home church at Heritage Baptist Temple in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Chris gave me a Bicycle

I spent the evening working with an old bicycle that Chris Wilson gave me. I guess he felt sorry for me. I'm always talking about needing a bicycle to find geocache sites that are located along bicycle trails.

The bicycle had a flat on the front tire. Chris even gave me a patch kit. I went to the store and bought a $10 tire pump. I quickly found a thorn in the tire and fixed it.

I took it for a spin down the Indian Trail for about 3.5 miles. It normally would have taken me a little over an hour to walk that distance. I was able to do it with the bicycle in about 20 minutes and I was taking my time.

Thank You Chris. Looks like I'm ready to go caching on a bicycle.

Then I wondered how I could mount my GPS to the handle bar. A Ram Mount would cost about $30. Somehow that just didn't seem right to pay $30 for a mount on a free bicycle. I went to work with spare parts and some plywood I had on hand. Here's what I came up with.
