Steve's Blog

I try to use this blog to record something about my life everyday.

Name: Steve Brown
Location: Little Rock, Arkansas, United States

On December 31, 2007 I left my job with Sprint/Embarq where I worked as a Software Engineer for 15 years at the Sprint Campus in Kansas City. In January 2008 Mary and I started Steve Brown Ministries and started traveling the United States broadcasting "Live Video" of Revivals, Bible Conferences, Mission Conferences, and other Special Services. Mary and I enjoy serving the Lord Jesus Christ and traveling to churches as we minister through SteveBrownMinistries.com. We are very pleased that our ministry is endorsed and we are sent out of our home church at Heritage Baptist Temple in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Day 1 - Salina Kansas

Our Trip Out West has finally started

We woke up this morning at 6:30 anxious to hit the road. Seemed like there was a ton of stuff yet to do. We finally got it all together at 9:30 and called Scott in Little Rock. They were pulling out of the driveway at the same time.

Our first stop was in Abilene, Kansas. We were looking for 2 geocache sites. This is the first one.

Geocache Site - Texas Cattle Drive - Abilene, Kansas

The other cache site in Abilene was the Eisenhower Library. We really enjoyed our tour of the Library and the Eisenhower home.

Tonight we are staying in the Salina Super 8 motel. It is wonderful. We have Wi-Fi access and a huge recliner.

I have not logged out geocaches yet, but we must have found 6-8 caches today. We really enjoyed our first day out. Scott and Laura will be here any minute and we'll go find somewhere to eat supper.

We hope to be in Boulder, CO tomorrow night.

10116 Steps today.
