This snake was recently found at the old Turkey Creek gas plant
located just south of the Alibates Turnoff on Highway 136 south
of Fritch Texas.
[THAT'S JUST NORTH OF AMARILLO] That's quite a ways from Beaver, OK.
Maybe people should do a little research BEFORE putting info on the web, or anywhere! Some people are also saying that this length and wieght are incorrect also. SOoo...who knows for sure anymore!
Happy Holidays...In every way possible!
Now its told that this rattler was killed in Tifton Georgia.
this seems to be happening alot two weeks ago a 98 pound rattle snake was also struck by a construction crew in poplar bluff missouri and another in tifton georgia was killed
...how dare someone kill it....
This is a close friend of friend from Abilene Texas of mine, I new about this way before he ever posted it, and by the way the snake was killed between Amarillo and Fritch Texas. My first question was why did you kill it? What a magnificent snake. It made me sad in a way...it would have been nice if it could have been saved. I have'nt seen a rattler this big in over 35 or 40 years.
TURKEY CREEK GUY IS RIGHT! YOU CAN SEE TURKEY CREEK PLANT IN BACKGROUD UNLESS THATS DOCTORED TOO
asome
Well that is huge but i seen an 8 foot sooo cool
well isnt this instersting
and i love this pic.
<3
me!! =)
This same snake was killed in Bulloch Co. near Statesboro, GA. this week. I thought only cats had 9 lives.
a snake that's that fat and 9ft long would weigh well over 30 pounds.
if its even real, he sure seems to be holding it at the end of that snake pole easily.
largest rattle snake is eastern diamond back.8ft,26 pounds
I think it is utter bs these snakes get killed for no apparent reason. For God's sake we are much more of a danger to them then vice versa. If people would just leave them alone you could possibly see more big rattlers.
